Not just any sauna...

Saunature Spa is the creation of Lithuanian sauna master Gerda.

What started as a simple idea, to share the healing practice of sauna, has grown into something much deeper. A space where people can slow down, reconnect, and experience something that feels both ancient and completely new.

Gerda began with a small sauna tent that held just a few people. It could be moved and set up wherever it was needed. From there, she started running small sessions and rituals, first at home, then at festivals, and gradually across the UK.

At weekends, she would bring the sauna to the river in Surrey, introducing people to the magic of wild water, the contrast of heat and cold, and the feeling of being fully present in nature.

Over time, that small idea grew.

After her first winter season, Gerda commissioned a larger, handcrafted sauna trailer, built in the traditional Lithuanian style. Since then, Saunature Spa has welcomed hundreds of people, each one discovering their own way to slow down, reset, and reconnect.

A space to reconnect

This isn’t just about heat.

It’s about creating a space where people can step away from the noise of everyday life and come back to themselves. Whether that’s through quiet reflection, shared experiences, or simply sitting in stillness.

Gerda brings together her Lithuanian roots with what she’s learned here in the UK, blending traditional sauna rituals with local nature, herbs, and seasonal rhythms.

Alongside this, she collaborates with other wellbeing practitioners, creating experiences that feel thoughtful, grounded, and genuinely supportive.

A word from Gerda

"I’m Gerda, and I’ve spent the past few years working towards something that feels really special to me.

I was born in Lithuania, where sauna is part of everyday life. It’s not seen as a luxury, it’s something people do regularly to relax, reset, and spend time together.

Some of my earliest memories are of going to the community sauna with my mum. The heat, the smell of the wood and herbs, the feeling afterwards… it stayed with me.

When I moved to the UK over 20 years ago, I didn’t realise how much I would miss it.

A few years ago, I found myself back in a sauna again while visiting Lithuania, and something just clicked. I remembered how it made me feel, calm, clear, and grounded. That moment stayed with me.

Not long after, I met a sauna master who encouraged me to explore it more deeply. I trained in traditional Lithuanian sauna practices and started to imagine what it could look like to bring this experience to people here in the UK, in a way that felt accessible, welcoming, and true to its roots.

Saunature Spa is the result of that journey, and it's been quite a journey!

It’s now a lovely relaxing space to pause, to reconnect, and to experience something magical.

Thank you for being here and being part of it."
